This URL shortener turns long, unwieldy web addresses into short links that are easy to share, type, and remember. Long URLs — like product pages with dozens of tracking parameters — can break when pasted into emails or social media and look messy in print. A short link points to exactly the same destination while taking up a fraction of the space.

To use it, paste your full link into the box and click Shorten. Within a moment you will get a compact URL that you can copy with the Copy button or test with Open. If you leave off the https:// at the start, it is added automatically so the link still works.

Short links are widely used for marketing campaigns, QR codes, presentations, text messages, and anywhere character count matters. Because the short link simply redirects to your original address, the destination page and its content stay exactly the same.

How it works & privacy note: Unlike our other tools, shortening a link requires an internet connection because it uses the free third-party is.gd service to create and host the short URL. The address you submit is sent to that service to generate the link. Short links created this way are public and do not expire on a fixed schedule, so avoid shortening private or sensitive URLs. Please review the is.gd terms before relying on it for important links.
