About this Time Zone Converter
This tool converts a specific moment from one time zone to another. Type the date and clock time as it appears in the first zone, choose that zone in From time zone, choose your destination in To time zone, and click Convert Time. The result shows the matching local time in the second zone, the day it falls on, and the UTC offset that applied on that date.
The list opens with your own time zone, detected from your browser, so the most common case — "what is this time for me?" — takes one click. Use Current Time fills the field with the time right now, Swap Zones reverses the direction of the conversion, and Clear resets everything to the defaults.
Daylight saving time is the part people usually get wrong when converting by hand. The gap between two zones is not fixed: it changes on the days each region moves its clocks, and different regions switch on different dates, with the southern hemisphere moving in the opposite direction to the northern. Because this converter works from the full time zone rules rather than a fixed offset, it applies whichever offset was actually in force on the date you entered, which is why the conversion for a meeting in January can differ by an hour from the same meeting in July.

Note: Conversions rely on the time zone database built into your browser and device, so keeping your system up to date keeps results accurate when governments change their rules. Clock times that fall in the hour skipped when the clocks go forward do not exist locally and are shifted to the nearest valid moment.
