About this Image Converter
This image converter lets you change a picture from one file format to another without installing any software or uploading your files. Select an image from your device, choose the format you want — PNG, JPG, WEBP, or BMP — and download the result in seconds. It is ideal for quick, everyday conversions such as turning a screenshot into a JPG, shrinking a photo into the modern WEBP format, or producing a lossless PNG.
To use it, click Choose image and select a file, pick your target format from the dropdown, and adjust the quality slider if you are saving to JPG or WEBP (higher quality means a larger file). Press Convert to generate the new image, then use the Download button to save it. PNG and BMP are lossless formats, so the quality setting does not apply to them.
Each format has its strengths: PNG supports transparency and is great for graphics and logos, JPG is best for photographs and small file sizes, WEBP offers excellent compression for the web, and BMP is an uncompressed format used by some older programs. Converting between them helps you meet upload requirements, save storage space, or improve website performance.
Privacy note: All conversion happens locally in your browser using the HTML canvas, so your images never leave your device and nothing is uploaded or stored. Converting to or from certain formats may flatten transparency onto a white background, and browser support for some formats (such as WEBP or BMP export) can vary, so the tool will let you know if a format is not available.
